BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Emma Zamarripa Ponder, 63 years old, was born in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Enrique Zamarripa and Guadalupe Medina, both whom preceded her in death. She lived most of her adulthood life in Brownsville, Texas where she entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Cameron R. Ponder; her five children: Enrique Zamarripa (Izaura; 3 grandkids), Carlos Zamarripa (Melissa; 4 grandkids), Paola Villarreal (James; 3 grandkids), Lupita Weidenburner (Aaron; 2 grandkids), and Mariana Frye (Matthew; 4 grandkids).
Emma was the pillar of her family, always available to them and to anyone that needed help. She loved her family, fashion, Coco her dog, but most of all, she was a woman of faith and loved The Lord. She will be remembered as an exemplary woman by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
