Encarnacion Perez

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Encarnacion Perez, 72, of Brownsville, Texas went to be with our Lord Monday, February 22, 2021.

Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, he came to Brownsville as a young man. In his early years he was employed for many years at Montgomery Wards working as a Repairman. He then became a self-employed mechanic working from his home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casinos, and driving his Chevy truck anywhere there was an open road and someone or someplace to visit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Mario Rosales; mother, Genoveva Perez;  step-father, Manuel Gonzalez, Sr.; sister, Genoveva Perez; brother, Manuel Gonzalez Jr.; grandchildren, Vanessa Gonzalez and Jesus Mario Perez, Jr.; and great-grandchildren Michael Andrew Perez, Jr., Lemuel Hezekiah, and Asher Ezekiel Martinez.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Rosalinda Gutierrez Perez; children Jesus Mario Perez (Gloria Dina Perez), Leticia Perez, Laura Perez, Genevie Perez (Joaquin Antonio), Angelica Perez (Victor Rios), Juan Jose Perez (Cynthia Perez) and Marco Antonio Perez; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous loving nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A Special Thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at both Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville and Solara Rehabilitation Center Brownsville for the gentle care provided; to his grandson-in-law Steven Martinez for his generous funeral contributions; and to Steven R. Bailey and staff at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home for their gentle handling of our beloved Encarnacion. We are eternally thankful for the donations, food, phone calls and visits from family and friends.

The family will gather for a private service.
