Enedina Flores Avitia, 87, joined our Lord God in Heaven on May 28, 2009. Her Christian faith, dedication and mentoring provided direction to many who sought forgiveness and salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Enedina and her husband were called to the Lords ministry shortly after their marriage in Laredo, Texas. They lived by the good faith of the congregations in the churches they ministered in Pharr, Harlingen, Rio Hondo and Brownsville, Texas. They founded the Principe de Paz church.

Preceding her to Heaven were her parents, Justo Flores and Rita Gutierrez Flores, her husband, Reverend Doctor Roberto R. Avitia Sr., her daughter, Yolanda Dolores Torrez and her sister, Eva Shugart.

Left to cherish her love and faith are her daughter Sonia A. Mussett and husband Doctor Raymond Mussett, son Roberto R. Avitia Jr. and wife Elizabeth Limon Avitia, son Rolando Rene Avitia Sr. and wife Elizabeth Parras Avitia, daughter Yvette S. Avitia and son-in-law Carlos Torrez Jr. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Carlos Adrian Torrez, Michael Mussett and wife Anissa, Jonathan Mussett and wife Danae, Jacob Mussett, Monique Mussett, Robert Avitia III and wife Araceli, William Erik Avitia, Orlando Omar Avitia, Rolando Rene Avitia Jr. and wife Laura, Krystle L.
