Erasto T. Ureste, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather entered into glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Erasto was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. He began a career that would span over 40 years in the grocery business as a young teen at the Piggly Wiggly in downtown Brownsville. He also worked for Minimax, King Mart, and Ocean Palm Grocery on South padre Isalnd. He was very loving and devoted to his family who will miss him tremendously, but who are thankful for having had him in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Enriqueta R. Ureste; his children, EsmeraldaSergio Sierra, Octavio Ureste, Elda U. Alvarez, Erasto E. ElenaUreste, Jr., Blanca Estela BenitoLopez, and Elizabeth Ann Trave Rhodes; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, and 4 sisters. His memory will also be cherished by his numerous family members.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2007 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home and continue through 9 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Octavio Ureste, Erasto E. Ureste, Jr., Sergio Sierra, Samuel Alvarez, J. R. Ureste, and Raymundo Hernandez are honored to be serving as Erastos pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Augustin Ureste, Benito Lopez, and Trave Rhodes.
