Ernesto "Neto" Rosales

Mr. Ernesto Neto Rosales Sr., 62, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Thursday, June 6, 2012.

A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Neto as he was affectionately known to all, worked as a truck driver throughout his adult life. Neto was involved in Little Miss Kickball Inc. for many years and served as the President of TipoTex for 10 years. A whole generation of young girls considered him their kickball dad.

In addition to kickball, Neto also enjoyed fishing, hunting, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and collecting John Deere memorabilia but what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved getting together to barbque.

Neto was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by not only his family, but all those fortunate to have known him and been a part of his life.

Neto was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Francisca Rosales and two brothers, Rosalio and Jose Rosales.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Petra Longoria Rosales his children: Susana Robert Castillo, Margarita Juan Villarreal, Ernesto Ana Jr., Luis Lizette, and Arturo Stefanie Rosales the seven grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Candelario and Alejandro Villarreal, Ariana, Luis Jr., Leonel, Ernesto III, and Celeste Rosales. He will also be missed by his sister, Maria Rodolfo Tovar two brothers, Jesse Rosales and Luis Glelia Rosales and numerous nieces, nephews, plus other extended family members, and a host of friends.

Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Sunday, June 10, 2012 and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson St. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
