Mrs. Esperanza Pere Hinojosa Mendez, 79, our beloved mother and grandmother, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Mendez was born and raised in Olmito,TX. She was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, TX. Pere was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whos cooking everyone loved Mrs.Mendez was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.

Mrs. Mendez was preceded in death by her son: Roberto Mendez Jr, her mother: Catarina Esquivel Hinojosa, her father: Emilio Hinojosa, and her siblings: Florencio Lopez and Maria Griselda Lopez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her spouse: Roberto C. Mendez of 60 years of marriage her children: Margie Felipe Beltran, David Mendez, Yvette Juan Rey, Monica Rudy Buitureira, Cesar Nancy Mendez, and Yolanda Rafael Leal her grandchildren: Bobby Beltran, Miguel Rey, Rico Benavidez, Vanessa Beltran, Erica Mendez, Nico Benavidez, Ashley Mendez, Monique Rey, Alejandra Mendez, Brianna Buitureira, Carolina Mendez, and Bianca Buitureira one greatgrandchild: Brandon Benavidez and her sibilings: Sara Maltos, Feliciano Moya, Sara Josefina Hinojosa, Francisca Sandoval, Victoria Cortez, Oralia Lopez, Delia Lopez, Norma Lopez, Mary Elizabeth Ponce, Sylvia Lopez, Margarito Lopez, Victor Lopez Jr, Jose Luis Lopez, and Catarino Esquivel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 10 am to 9 pm with a rosary at 7pm in the East Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church and cremation entombment will be held at a later date.

Felipe Beltran, Juan Rey, Rudy Buitureira, Miguel Rey, Rico Benavidez, and Bobby Beltran are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.

Grandma Mendez was all about kids. Hooked for Life, Kids gone Fishing was an organization she was extremely proud of. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peres name to Hooked for Life, Kids Gone Fishing, 1150 Paredes Line Road Brownsville, TX 78520 956 5015682.
