Mr. Estanislao Martin, 88, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Brownsville on Friday, July 10, 2009.

Mr. Martin was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and was preceded in death by his wife Florentina Martin and a daughter Elvira Martin.

Survivors include his children Maria Inez Renteria of Brownsville, Mercedes M. Gutierrez of Dallas, Elpidio Martin and Guadalupe Ayala , both of Brownsville, Maria de Jesus Espinoza of Naples, Florida, Esteban Martin of Brownsville, Joaquin Martin of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Irma Martin and Altagracia Martin, both of Belle Glade, Florida. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, Dimas and Roberto Martin, both of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan St. with cremation to follow.
