Estefana G. Tijerina

Estefana G. Tijerina, 104, of San Pedro, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, December 18, 2008.She was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church.

Mrs. Tijerina was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Tomas Tijerina and 2 sons, Tomas Raul Tijerina and Alberto Alonso Tijerina.

She is survived by her children: Elodia Tana Tijerina and Juan Antonio Lidia Flora Tijerina; 2 daughters-in-law, Rosalia F. Tijerina and Celina L. Tijerina; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 in the San Pedro Catholic Church in San Pedro with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville.

Honored to serve as her pallbearers are Dr. Alberto A. Tijerina, Tomas R. Tijerina, Robert Garcia, Robert J. Garza, Mario Mandujano and Paul Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Mandujano, Fermin Leal, Jose A. Garcia, Rafael Garcia, A.W. Tobin and Praxedis Cavazos.
