Esther G. Muoz, 71, of Brownsville, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Esther, a native of Skidmore, TX had been a resident of Brownsville for many years. She worked for the Texas Employment Commission for 31 years and had retired 13 years ago. She was an avid reader who loved to curl up with a good book.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and 2 aunts.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her husband of 50 years, Juan A. Muoz, of Brownsville; three children: Diana Steven Muoz-Meriggi, Juan A. Vivian Muoz, Jr., and Robert Muoz all from Austin, TX; 14 grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ismael Ruiz, and her brother, Ernest Mary Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a rosary service were held yesterday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family members are honored to be serving as Esthers pallbearers.
