Eustolio Daniel Salazar, 70, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel who was a native of Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, had been a resident of Brownsville for over 30 years. He was a dedicated employee at AMFELS where he was a paint superintendent. He loved watching baseball, boxing, and football and especially cheering on his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys. He will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Gloria Salazar.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his beloved wife of 46 years, Gloria R. Salazar; 2 sons, Randy Salazar and Rick and his wife Gabriela Salazar; his daughter, Robin and her husband Richard Arreola; 7 grandchildren: Randy II Liz, Andrew, Steven Salazar; Richard Allen, Allison Elaine, Sydney Nicole Arreola, and Ivan Alexis Salazar; 1 great-grandson, Randy Jeremiah Salazar. He will also be greatly missed by his 4 brothers, Eudelio, Ramon, Aurelio Salazar, and Antonio Garcia; his 2 sisters, Socorro Salazar and Estela Rodriguez, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 and continue through 9 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. A service celebrating Daniels life will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. All services will conclude on Wednesday evening, and in accordance with Daniels wishes he will be cremated.
