Eva Audelia Delgado

Eva Tapia Delgado, 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas with her family at her side.

Eva was born in El Calaboz and resided in the San Pedro Community her entire life. She was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner at San Pedro Catholic Church where she was a member of the Guadalupanas.

Eva was a loving wife and mother and dedicated herself to her family. She was a cat lover, and also enjoyed embroidery, reading anything she could get her hands on, crossword puzzles and playing Loteria.

Eva was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.

Eva was preceded in death by her daughter: Corina D. Murray; her parents: Dionicia and Rogerio Tapia; 3 sisters: Rebecca Tapia, Aurora Cisneros, and Martina Muñoz; and 1 brother, Jose Angel Tapia.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her loving and devoted husband of 62 years: Eutimio “Timo” Delgado; her children: Alma Gloria (Jesus+) Gutierrez, Ninfa Delgado, Jose Martin (Norma Elia) Delgado, Nidia Delgado, and Eutimio (Jill) Delgado Jr.

Eva will also be missed by her 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Raquel (Frank) Camacho and Maria Elena (Adan) Lopez; a sister-in-law, Graciela Tapia and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the rosary scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at San Pedro Catholic Church in San Pedro, Texas. Committal services will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas.

Eva’s 2 sons: Jose Martin and Eutimio Jr. along with 4 of her grandsons: Lorenzo Garcia, Daniel Garcia Jr., Jesus Gutierrez Jr., and Steve Ybarra Jr. are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Ruben Rodriguez, Crhistian Salinas, and Arnold Sustaita.
