Eva Sanchez Ramirez, 72, beloved wife, mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, and friend, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Eva had been a resident of Brownsville for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother who gave her all for family and friends. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of Mary Mother of the Church Parish. She was a superb role model for her children and grandchildren and she leaves a legacy of good moral values in them. She was a superb and gracious hostess who loved getting her family and friends together. A strong and courageous woman, Eva also exuded warmth to those around her. She was always there to listen and lend a helping hand to one and all. Eva will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Florencio and Guadalupe Sanchez a sister, Maria Trevio and 2 brothers, Florencio Jr. and Robert Sanchez.
Left to eternally treasure her memory is her husband of 53 years, Valentin M. Ramirez her children: Valentin Laura Ramirez Jr., Guadalupe Lupita Alvaro Chavez, Patricia Ann Richard Farch, Luis Martin Delia Ramirez, and Eva Ramirez 12 grandchildren: Carlos Camarillo, Mark Anthony Estrada, Rebecca Chavez, Christopher Ramirez, Davey Joel Ramirez, Jay Torres, Michael Torres, Valentin Ramirez III, Andrew Chavez, Carlos Estrada, Amanda Estrada, and Steven Ray Camarillo 8 greatgrandchildren: Carlos Matthew and Nicholas Camarillo, Sebastian Estrada, Isaac Mosqueda, Chloe Ramirez, Celeste Mesorana and Davey Joel Ramirez Jr., Adrian and Jackson 1 sister Emma Sanchez 1 brother, Isauro Virginia Sanchez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8th, with the Mass of Christian Resurrection starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2011at Mary Mother of the Church Parish St. Marys.
Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Evas grandsons are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved grandmother.
