BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Fatinitza S. Treviño entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 14th of July 2022 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her family. She was ninety-four years of age.
Fatinitza was born in San Benito, Texas on March 14, 1928, daughter of Antonio Silguero and Reynalda Villarreal Silguero. She lived in Matamoros, Mexico and moved with her family to Brownsville, Texas in 1969. She was a devout Christian and read the bible every morning. Her favorite pastimes included crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She also enjoyed playing loteria and collecting holiday Barbie dolls every year. Fatinitza will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Preceding Fatinitza in death was her loving and devoted husband of fifty-seven years, Andres Treviño; her son, Marco Antonio Treviño; her parents, Antonio and Reynalda V. Silguero; and her infant brother.
Survivors include her daughters Tomasa Rosa Treviño, Raquel E. Yarbrough (Robert V.), and Martha Beatriz Treviño; her sons, Andres Isaac Treviño and Natividad J. Treviño (Patricia); her grandchildren Liz Allen (Robert), Ada Yesenia Rodriguez (Carlos), Ysela Beatriz Treviño, Andres Isaac Treviño III (Corina), Yadira Enid Cunningham (Kelly), Delia Jennifer Yarbrough, Monica Raquel Treviño (Josh), Aldo Vela, Allen Vela, Fatinitza Vela, Yuri Herminia Garcia (Omar), and Edwin Guzman (Rebecca); great-grandchildren Raegan Nichole Allums (Brandon), Robert Preston Allen, Persephone Jordan Treviño, Carlos Adan Rodriguez, Cruz Arman Rodriguez, Rodrigo Alberto Velazquez, Meagan Bryanna Willis, Mason Casillas, Maxon Casillas, Madeline Casillas, John Huitrado, Xavi Garcia, Esmi Garcia, and George Beaty Guzman; and sisters, Amparo Silguero Delgado and Edelmira Silguero Hilton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 19th of July 2022, between the hours of three o’clock in the afternoon and nine o’clock at night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
A Chapel Service will commence at twelve noon on Wednesday, the 20th of July 2022. Interment will immediately follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.
