Felix Hull, 83, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at his residence in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hull was a native of Brownsville, having been born here on July 2, 1928 to Fulgencio and Refugia Hull. A proud veteran of the U. S. Navy Air Corps., he served our country courageously for seven years immediately following World War II. After his discharge he joined the U. S. Border Patrol where he continued serving our country for 33 years.
Mr. Hull was a member of the American Legion Harding Blane Post 0321 in Plano, Texas. He also served as a mentor at Foreman Elementary in Plano, Texas. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner at St Marys while he lived in Brownsville and at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano where he served as an usher and a volunteer in the financial office.
Mr. Hull was a Ham radio enthusiast. His call sign was K5CVL. He loved music and loved to play the guitar. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fulgencio and Refugia R. Hull his brothers: Tomas and Daniel Hull and his sisters: Amelia H. Mesa, Antonia H. Huerta, and Elvira Hull.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his wife of 61 years, Beatrice J. Hull his children: Dr. Felix Dr. Sonia Hull Jr., Dina H. Davenport, Nelda H. Jim Lagrone, and Dr. Jaime J. Lisa Hull his grandchildren: Marcos Alejandro Mary Hull, Steven Hull, Dr. Michele Lagrone, Nikki Davenport, Thomas Davenport, Lindsay Davenport, and Christina Hull his niece and nephew, Esther and Jimmy Gutierrez and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. and continue through 9 p.m. in the West Chapel at DarlingMouser on Sunday, September 25, 2011. His nephew, Bert Jaime, will lead the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at DarlingMouser. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Felix Hull, Jr., Jaime Hull, Steven Hull, Thomas Davenport, Bert Jaime, and George Tamez are honored to be serving as pallbearers. Jimmy Lagrone, Adalberto Jaime and Rene Jaime will serve as honorary pallbearers. The American Legion Post 43 Funeral Honor Guard under the direction of Commander Raul Leal will be providing military honors at the graveside.
The Hull family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Felixs nephew, Daniel Huerta, for generously providing the escort for the funeral service.
