Send With Love
BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Fortino Hernandez, Jr., loving father, son, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 27th of May 2020 at the age of forty-five.
Fortino was born in Brownsville, Texas to his parents, Fortino Hernandez, Sr. and Gloria Alvarez Hernandez on March 23, 1975. He was a social worker for the Texas Department of State Health Services for several years. His daughters, Eileen Idalis and Elaine Alyssa were his pride and joy, whom he loved very much. His favorite pastime was watching his Dallas Cowboys play football while enjoying family cookouts. Although he had a reserved personality, he was very sociable, had good sense of humor and was always smiling. Fortino and his best friend since childhood, Aaron Hernandez, supported and organized events for their band, Panteon. He always helped fundraise and made sure that everybody else was taken care of before himself. Fortino will be missed by his many friends and by all of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Eileen Idalis Hernandez and Elaine Alyssa Hernandez; his parents, Fortino, Sr. and Gloria A. Hernandez; his sisters, Cristina Hernandez and Isabel Hernandez (Jesus Zapata); his brother, Manuel Hernandez (Gloria Milano); and his Pitbull, Chela. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Services will be private.
