She was born in Brownsville, to Robert Edward and Martha Landrum Wagnermember of four Pioneer families Wagner who came by boat from Germany, Powers came with Taylors army in 1846, Landrum came from California, bringing first Mohair Goats overland to Texas.
She attended schools of the Sister of the Incarnate Word from Kinder through college in San Antonio. She started teaching at La Encantada and after five years moved to B.I.S.D.
In 1945, she married Gen. Jaime Quiones in Mexico. After many locations they settled at Rancho Puesto Hepico Coahulia, Mexico.
She is survived by five sons, Robert Pat, Bernard Diane, WilliamKathie, Stephen Amy and Benjamin Cindy six grandchildren, John P., Mary Frances, Laura, Paul Robert, Stephen, Rochelle, and Michael and four greatgrandchildren, Kaylah, Lilah, Lily, and Abigail.
Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at DarlingMouser Funeral Home East Chapel. All services will conclude following the rosary.
As per Mrs. Quioness request her body will be donated to the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
