Frances "Babe" Camilla Bowman Taylor

Frances Camilla Bowman Babe Taylor passed away November 8, 2014, at Spanish Meadows Nursing Home surrounded by family.

Babe was born in 1923 in Monticello, Indiana to Fred and Elizabeth Bowman. In 1940, she graduated from Monticello High School. Babe married her childhood sweetheart, Billie L. Taylor in 1944. They soon moved to Lafayette, Indiana, where they raised a family and became active members of the community.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents, he brother, Fred Bowman, and her sisters: Marianna Chenoweth, Eleanor Bowman, and Emma Downey.

Babe is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bill her son, John Anna Taylor her daughter, Susan Jeffrey Rankert her granddaughters: Erica Enrique Guevara, Stephanie Taylor, and Elaine Hector Flores four greatgranddaughters and a greatgrandson.

Babe will be remembered by her family and friends for her cheerful disposition, her loving pride in her family, her involvement in Bethany Presbyterian Church, and her love of music, cats, the Cubs, and Bridge.

Private services will be held here in Brownsville with final interment to take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery in Monticello.
