Francisca Panchita V. Beltran, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister entered into eternal rest at her residence in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Panchita was born on June 4, 1914 to Leonardo Villarreal and Eva Jaurigui Villarreal. She was a lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas. Panchita was a long-time active parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church where she was involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Charities, Ladies Club, and various other parish activities. She also attended El Mundo Feliz Adult Day Care Center since 1990, where she shared many happy hours with friends taking field trips and working on arts and crafts. Panchita had a great love for plants and birds, loved to travel, and enjoyed playing the game of Yahtzee. She was thrilled to see the city of Brownsville grow in all areas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francisco Beltran; her brothers: Hipolito, Pablo, and Luciano Villarreal; her sisters: Manuela V. Burnias, Consuelo V. Flores, Isabel V. Jaramio, Aurora V. Arzola; and her son-in-law, Rodolfo U. Garza.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her daughter, Viola B. Garza of Brownsville; her four sons: Alfonso Clara Beltran of Forest, MS, Adolfo Elida Beltran of San Antonio, TX, Alonzo Maria Elena Beltran of Pharr, TX, and Adolfo Pearl Beltran Jr. of Sugar Land, TX; a brother, Leonardo Villarreal Jr. of Los Fresnos, TX; 16 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Panchitas grandsons, Rene U. Garza, Roel R. Garza, Ruben J. Garza, Rolando C. Garza, Daniel L. Beltran, Arnold L. Beltran, Frank A. Beltran, and Christopher L. Beltran are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved grandmother.

Honorary pallbearers will be her daughters-in-law: Clara W. Beltran, Elida G. Beltran, Maria Elena C. Beltran, and Pearl G. Beltran.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Panchitas name may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 Military Hwy, Brownsville, TX 78520.
