Francisca P. Leal

Francisca P. Leal, 92, born in March 9, 1917 in San Pedro, TX went into eternal rest on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Ebony Lake Nursing Home in Brownsville.

She retired from the BISD as a cafeteria employee on May 14, 1988 from Villa Nueva Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Melquiades Leal, son in law; Frank T. Perez, brothers Federico Pedraza, Rafael Pedraza, Francisco Pedraza, and a sister; Lydia P. Garza.

She is survived by her daughter; Hilda L. Perez, sons; Melquiades Juanita P. Leal Jr., Cesario Corina P. Leal, Ruben Dora Leal, sisters; Guedelia Villarreal, Sofia Atkinson, Lucia Cardoza, brother; Cesario Pedraza, 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2009 at San Pedro Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sabas Cavazos Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roque Leal, Roque Leal, Jr., Danny Perez, Frankie Perez, Willie Cardoza, and Arturo Rodriguez
