Frank de la Rosa, 62, brother and uncle entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, January 08, 2010, at Solara Hospital in Brownsville, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. He was an excellent musician and a founding member of the BelAir band. He loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Librada de la Rosa.

Left behind to eternally treasure his memory are his loving sisters and brother: Lupita Rojano Doc Sweeney, Maria Rafaela Rodriguez, Olga de la Rosa, and Carlos Sylvia de la Rosa his nieces and nephews: Monica Gonzalez, Martha McHenry, Sarah M. Rodriguez, Sammy Rodriguez, June Canaski, Burl Sweeney, Dominique de la Rosa, and Magali de la Rosa, as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grand nieces, nephews, greatgrand nieces and nephews and his many friends

Uncle Frankie, We will miss you

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2010, and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St. All services will conclude at the church and in accordance with Franks wishes he will be cremated.

Fred Arias, Jaime Arias, Ramon Rodriguez, Burl Sweeney, Marco Longoria and Joe Ayala are honored to be serving as Franks pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Rodriguez, Joseph Lopez, Hector Arias, Rick Arias, Carlos Lopez, Larry de la Rosa, Frank Weaver, and Armando Lopez.
