Born in Akron, Ohio, on January 17, 1954, to the late Joseph and Juanita Slovisky, Gary moved to Rancho Viejo with his family before settling on South Padre Island. He dedicated over fifty years to National Electrical Coil, rising through the ranks to serve on the board of directors.

Beyond his professional achievements, Gary cherished time with loved ones, indulging in wine, and exploring the world with his beloved wife Elaine.

Preceded in death by his late wife Penny Slovisky, Gary is survived by his wife, Elaine Betz Slovisky; his son, Sean (Leticia) Slovisky; stepdaughters Layshauni Campos (Manny), Geles Putzel (Michael), Merry Rodriguez, and Ila Rodriguez; granddaughters, Sofia and Sara Slovisky; six step-grandchildren Jolainey, Everton, Merritt, Evanni, Eleni, and Caelum Campos; his siblings Janet Zanko (Doug), Tim Slovisky (Margaret), and Lynn Noonan (Mark); as well as his nephews and nieces Jodi Doney (David), Kristi Kreiger (Mark), Lisa Noonan, Julie Rottman (Paul), Megan, Brendan, and Kaitlin Slovisky.

Gary's infectious spirit and zest for life (woowoo!) will be dearly missed, but his legacy of joy and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. It truly was great to be Gary.
