Gaspar Omar Ramos

On Wednesday August 19, 2020 Gaspar Omar Ramos passed away at the age of 54.

Gaspar (Omar) Ramos was born on August 27, 1965 in Brownsville, TX to Felipe & Maria Ramos. Omar as we all knew him was preceded in death by his father Felipe Sr. and his brother Felipe Jr.  He is survived by his wife Maricela Vallejo Ramos; his three children Omar Jr., Amanda & Karina Ramos; his mother, Maria H. Ramos; his four brothers & four sisters: Joe (Sylvia), Jorge, Carlos & Mike (Griselda); sisters ; Esther (Steven), Gloria (Noe), Beatriz (Beto) & Amy (Rogelio). Omar had numerous nieces and nephews.

Omar enjoyed having gatherings surrounding his friends & family.  He always looked forward to doing cookouts & fish fries.  He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys even though he would get mad and say they “suck”.

Remembering my dad he would always be there for me when I needed help or had a question. My dad wasn’t perfect but he made sure he was there when I needed him.  I miss you every day especially when I would be sick. You would be on me to make sure I would listen to take my medicine.  Although you are gone you are our guardian angel looking down on us from heaven.

My dad was such a cool and funny person laughing to his own bad but funny jokes.  He could talk for hours & all hours, I wish we could talk one more time so I can ask him more things about himself and life.  He loved teaching me things so I wouldn’t need to depend on anyone.  He couldn’t do what most dads could do but he never let that bring him down.  He always tried his best in raising us girls and will never forget that about him.  I wish the universe gave us more time to make more memories.  We miss & love you including Buddy & Rambo, they sense your absence.  I know you’ll keep watching over us, forever daddy’s girl.
