Gavino Sandoval, 89, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Monday, June 1, 2015, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Gavino, was a boat captain and shrimper for over 30 years. Gavino was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army having served our country proudly during the Korean Conflict.
Gavino was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.
Gavino is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and four brothers.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Gavino is his wife of 40 years, Laura Cruz Sandoval and their children: Esther, Erika, Leticia, Rolando, Abigail, and Gavino Alejandro; the children from his first marriage: Griselda, Katie, Armando, Norberto, and Jesse; numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Munguia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2nd and continue through 8:00 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The VFW Post 2035 will conduct military honors at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at Darling-Mouser. All services will conclude on Wednesday after the services and in accordance with Mr. Sandoval's wishes, cremation will follow.
