Gil Villanueva

BROWNSVILLE, TX.  – Gil Villanueva entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 7th of May 2022 in the comfort of his Brownsville residence with his children by his bedside. He was ninety-five years of age.

Gil was born in San Luis Potosi City, Mexico on September 1, 1926, son of Refugio and Eustacia Avila Villanueva. He was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed by his family.

Gil was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio Villanueva and Anastacia Avila Villanueva. His wife, Ernestina Cortez Villanueva and daughter Ernestina Villanueva also preceded him in death.

Surviving Gil are his children; Juan Eleazar (Tracy Moore) Villanueva, Elda Villanueva, Noemi C. Villanueva and Job "Jobey" (Ana Hinojosa) Villanueva

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, the 11th of May 2022, beginning at twelve o'clock noon through four o’clock in the afternoon. A Chapel Service will begin at twelve noon within the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
