BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Giuse Dũng Quốc Phan entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 11th of May 2022 in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was fifty-four years of age.

Dũng was born on April 3, 1968 in Sài Gòn, Việt Nam, son of the late Ông An Văn Phan and Bà Hong Thị Tonnu. Dũng was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He was everybody’s go to person and his presence would always brighten up the whole room. With his generous heart, Dũng never hesitated to help those in need and was always forgiving of others. His favorite pastime was singing karaoke and he was always the life of the party. Dũng was so loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all of those fortunate enough to have known him.

Preceding Dũng in death were his parents, Ông An Văn Phan and Bà Hong Thị Tonnu.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Lan Thị Lê; their children: daughter, April Phan, and son, Andrew Phan; in addition to numerous members of the Phan Family and Lê Family.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 16th of May 2022 between the hours of nine o’clock in the morning and eight o’clock at night, with a funeral prayer ritual to occur from one to two o’clock Monday afternoon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, the 17th of May 2022 between the hours of nine o’clock in the morning and eight o’clock at night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, the 18th of May 2022 from eight to ten o’clock in the morning within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The funeral procession will depart Darling-Mouser Funeral Home at half past ten o’clock in the morning en route to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 18th of May 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville, with the Rev. Joseph T. Nguyễn of Corpus Christi, Texas officiating. Cremation will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Sacred Park Crematorium, 12506 Mile 2 West, Mercedes, Texas 78570.
