Gloria Zarate Hinojosa

Gloria Zarate Hinojosa, 87, entered into eternal rest on Monday morning April 7th, 2014, at her home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loving family. A native of Brownsville, Texas, Gloria lived in San Antonio with her husband the past 9 years close to her children and grand kids.

She was a beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

The love she shared with all who knew her will be cherished in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Danny Hinojosa father, Ismael Zarate Sr., mother, Guadalupe Villalon, brother, Ismael Irene Zarate Jr., and sisters, Laura Henry Tamez, Olga Arthur Mendez, and Celina Zarate.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel P. Hinojosa, daughters, Celina D. Hinojosa and Lita J. Rodriguez, soninlaw, Omar J. Rodriguez and grandchildren: Tiger D. Rodriguez and Milla A. Rodriguez as well as Mojo a faithful four legged companion, her brothers: Alfonso F.Liva Zarate and Luis Carlos Dalila Zarate, in addition to her many loving relatives.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to those who helped care for Gloria her last years.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday, April 11th in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Friday evening. The Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April, 12th at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
