Guadalupe Alicia Castro

Mrs. Guadalupe Alicia Castro, 92, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Castro was preceded in death by her husband Lucio B. Castro, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Left to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Lucio Sandra Castro, Hector Nora Castro, Alicia Jesus de los Santos, Juana Emma Enrique Alvarado, Gloria Nick Sanchez, Alma Francisco Martinez and Carlos Maggie Castro.; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and by a brother, Roberto de la Garza.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. today, Thursday, November 12, 2009 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, November 13, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Honored to be serving as her pallbearers are her grandchildren: Carlos H. Castro, Jr., Francisco Martinez, Edgar Sanchez, Victor de los Santos, Alfredo Castro, Efrain Alvarado, Enrique Alvarado, Jesus de los Santos and Horacio Castro.
