BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Guadalupe Davila entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 26th of February 2021 in Brownsville, Texas one day shy of his ninety-eighth birthday.
Guadalupe was a proud World War II veteran having served in the United States Navy, and loved to watch boxing matches. He also loved to watch Western movies and drink Coors Light. He will be missed my many who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elisa Davila, and son, Enrique (Hector) Davila.
Survivors are his daughters, Diana Davila and Mary Nelson; granddaughter, Jessica, and her husband Phillip Cherry; great-grandchildren, Hawkins and Kalysta Cherry; and sisters Debbie, Delilah, and Rosey. He was also survived by his best friend and caregiver, Raquel Silguero, as well as numerous other family members.
A Graveside Service will be held at twelve noon on Friday, the 5th of March 2021 at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of V.F.W. Post No. 2035.
