Guadalupe "Lupe" Quintana

Guadalupe "Lupe" Quintana, 85, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, surrounded by his family. Lupe was born in Jimenez, Tamps., Mexico in 1931.

Lupe was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Manuel Quintana. He was raised from the age of 2 by his aunt and uncle, Maria and Mauro Alcala.

Lupe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lupita L. Quintana; his daughters, Analicia (Mike) Garcia and Marianela (Calvin) Walker; and the 3 grandchildren that were the apple of his eye: Miguel Garcia, Analicia Mariela Garcia and Calvin Walker. Lupe will also be missed by his five sisters: Donaciana Alcala, Magdalena "Nena" Alcala, Minerva Longoria, Delia Garza, and Olga Martinez.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1st at Darling Mouser Funeral Home with a rosary service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Ocotber 2nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 East Elizabeth St. All services will conclude after the Mass, and in accordance with Lupe's wishes, cremation will follow.

Private internment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date.

A special thanks to his caregivers: Rosa Maria Rivas, Ana Maria Castro, Gloria Hernandez, and Enrique Gonzalez who were always by his side during his illness.
