Guadalupe B. Salazar

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Guadalupe B. "Lupita" Salazar entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 6th of October 2024 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. She was 79 years of age.

Lupita was born on February 18, 1945 in Matamoros, Mexico to Bartolo Salazar and Manuelita Benavides Salazar.

She was a member of the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostes Templo Eben-Ezer, Pastor Ruben Hernandez. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family.

Preceding Lupita in death are her parents, Bartolo Salazar and Manuelita Benavides Salazar; and her siblings Roberto Salazar, Romulo Salazar, Reynaldo Salazar, Ricardo Salazar and Maria Salazar.

Lupita is survived by her husband, Manuel Anguiano; her son, Hugo Anguiano; her siblings, Crecensia Zavala, Angelica De La Cruz, Erasmo Salazar, and Amelia Villapando (Manuel); in addition to numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members. She is also survived by Hugo Arriziola whom she loved as a son.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 10th of October 2024 between the hours of four o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a prayer service to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. 

A Funeral Service will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 11th of October 2024 at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Eben-Ezer, 4292 Southmost Road, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
