Guadalupe Salinas Trevino

Guadalupe Salinas Treviño, 91, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Pita, as she was affectionately known to all, was a native of Brownsville. She had recently moved back to her hometown after living in San Antonio for many years. Pita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Pita is preceded in death by her parents: Guadalupe M. and Jesus Salinas; 2 sisters, Carmen and Leonor Rios; and 4 brothers: Jose, Ramiro, Filiberto, and Valente Salinas.

Pita is survived by her sister, Amelia Salinas and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, and continue through 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 East Jefferson St. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
