Harold James Ewald

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Harold James Ewald, retired owner of insurance and financial services and Senior Vice President of Savings & Loan Industry, died Saturday, the 4th of March 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was eighty-three years of age.

Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a leader in the community. He had a sharp wit and was kind to all. He loved golfing, dancing, and having a cocktail with friends and enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Those who knew and loved him will miss his smile, the twinkle in his eyes and his laughter.

Preceding Harold in death were his parents, Adolf Ewald and Marie Ewald; his brother, Joseph Ewald; his sister, Teresa Schneider; and his son, Jimmy.

Surviving family members include his wife of sixty-three years, Arnette; his daughter, Patricia Paul; and his grandchildren, Katie Sliter and Allison Paul.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, the 19th of March 2023 at River Bend Resort and Golf Club in Brownsville, Texas.
