Hector Lopez Reboredo, 88, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and greatgrandfather, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Monday, June 21 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Tuxpan, Veracruz, Mexico, he immigrated to the United States as a young man. He lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years where he worked as a welder for General Motors. After retirement, he and his family moved to Brownsville.
Chaparrito as he was affectionately known to family and friends will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed the help. He will be missed by all those fortunate to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martina and his brother, Fernando.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving wife of 60 years, Rita Reboredo his children: Fernando Lopez, Esperanza Avalos, Javier Sylvia Avalos, Eladio Lula Avalos, and Maria Guadalupe Lupita Henneberg his sister, Rosario Retta 21 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren, greatgreatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family member.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. The Liturgical Service of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
