Hector Silva Jr., 36, our beloved father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.
Hector a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, was born on January 29, 1975 to Hector and Teresa Garcia Silva. He graduated from James Pace High School in 1993. After graduation, Hector began an 18 year career with UPS that continued up until his passing.
In his spare time, Hector loved spending quality time with his son Dominick. He also enjoyed barbequeuing for the family and friends and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Hector was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Hector was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Julian C. and Juanita V. Garcia and a maternal aunt, Blanca Garcia Urbano.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him are his son, Dominick Gene Silva and his mother, Gloria Gina Garces his parents, Hector and Teresa G. Silva his brothers: Leroy and his wife Krystal and Kerry and his wife Krystal Silva his paternal grandparents: Marcelino B. and Esther N. Silva the nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly: Nicolas, Natalie, Charlene, Penny, and Jonathan Silva and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 and continue through 9 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the holy rosary will be at 7 p.m. this evening at DarlingMouser. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 with a Funeral Mass scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas.
