Hector Elmer "Cammy" Garcia

OLMITO, TX. – Hector Elmer "Cammy" Garcia entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 18th of February 2022 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was sixty-nine years of age.

Cammy worked for the United States Postal Services for almost twenty years, serving most recently as a rural carrier in Harlingen. He was a jack of all trades and was mechanically inclined to fix whatever was broken. Cammy was a true family man and his grandson Rylan was the apple of his eye. He was selfless and was always willing to help out anybody in need. He will be remembered for his kindness and loving personality.

Preceding Hector in death were his parents, Jose Medeles Garcia and Esther Russell Garcia.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of forty-eight years, Janny Garcia; daughters, Tammy Munoz (Marco) and Barbie Garcia; grandson, Rylan Garza; siblings Joe Wallace Garcia (Emilia), John Garcia (Antonia), Gilbert Garcia (Margarita), Charlotte Jaramillo (Joe), Riley Garcia, Hazel Vasquez (Fernie), Norma Alfaro (Valente), Gracie Ramirez, Ester Navarro (Rodolfo); as well numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, the 27th of February 2022 between the hours of five o'clock in the afternoon and nine o’clock at night, with a prayer service to be held at seven o'clock Sunday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

A Chapel Service will be held at half past one o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 28th of February 2022. Interment will immediately follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.
