Hilda Leal Perez of Brownsville, Texas passed away at Valley Regional Medical Center on Friday May 12, 2017. Mrs. Perez was born in April of 1935 in Brownsville, Texas.
Both Francisco and Hilda owned and managed several successful restaurant ventures but they are mostly well known for owning and operating Frank's Round-Up for over 35 years, a staple in the community. She was an avid sports fan just like her husband and you could always have a passionate conversation about local sports over a cup of coffee.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco T. Perez; parents Melquiades and Francisca "grandma Panchita" Leal and brother Cesario "Piro" Leal.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Danny, Mike (Alma), Frankie (Yoli) Perez and Viro Cardenas; brothers: Ruben (Dora), Melquiades (Janie) Leal and sister-in-law Corina Leal; grandchildren: Danny, Jennifer, TJ, Victoria, Mikey, Christian, Dorian, Mia Perez, and Samantha (Ivan) Velez. Great-grandson Jordan along with numerous extended family members.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at Darling Mouser Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at San Pedro Catholic Mission. Committal services will follow at Sabas Cavazos Cemetery in San Pedro.
Hilda's granddaughters and grandsons are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
