BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Hugo A. Rios entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 1st of May 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. He was fifty years of age.
Hugo was born in Matamoros, Mexico on September 9, 1972, son of Pedro Rios and Maria Gloria Ontiveros Rios. He was a skilled mechanic and loved working on classic cars. Hugo will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Preceding Hugo in death was his father, Pedro Rios.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Socorro Alicia Rios; his children, Jacqueline Ayde Rios and Hugo Alberto Rios, Jr.; his mother, Maria Gloria Rios; and his siblings, Julio Cesar Rios and Gloria Janett Chavez. He is also survived by his loving pets, Benito and Nikolas Rios.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, the 3rd of May 2023 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Wednesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, the 4th of May 2023 at nine o’clock in the morning, with a chapel service to begin at twelve noon. Interment will immediately follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas. – Hugo A. Rios entró en descanso eterno el lunes 1 de mayo de 2023 en Valley Baptist Medical Center en Brownsville. Tenía cincuenta años de edad.
Hugo nació en Matamoros, México el 9 de septiembre de 1972, hijo de Pedro Ríos y María Gloria Ontiveros Ríos. Era un mecánico hábil y le encantaba trabajar en autos clásicos. Hugo será recordado como un amoroso esposo, padre, hijo, hermano y amigo.
Precediendo a Hugo en la muerte fue su padre, Pedro Ríos.
Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su amada y devota esposa, Socorro Alicia Ríos; sus hijos, Jacqueline Ayde Rios y Hugo Alberto Rios, Jr.; su madre, María Gloria Ríos; y sus hermanos, Julio Cesar Rios y Gloria Janett Chavez. También le sobreviven sus amadas mascotas, Benito y Nikolas Rios.
El horario de visitas será el miércoles 3 de mayo de 2023 entre las doce del mediodía y las nueve de la noche, con el rezo del santo rosario a partir de las siete de la noche del miércoles en la Capilla Este de Darling- Funeraria Mouser.
