BROWNSVILLE, TX. -  Irma Gloria Briones-Taylor, a beacon of love and compassion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 28th of April 2024. She was a cherished mother, daughter, and sister whose spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was fifty-three years of age.

Irma understood the transient nature of life but chose to navigate it with an unwavering commitment to connection. Her name became synonymous with reaching out, as she tirelessly extended her hand to those around her, ensuring no one felt alone in their journey.

As a mother, Irma's love knew no bounds. Her nurturing embrace provided solace in times of need and served as a guiding light for her children.

As a daughter, Irma honored her roots with reverence and grace. She cherished her family heritage and shared its richness with all who crossed her path.

As a sister, Irma's bond was unbreakable. She walked alongside her siblings through every joy and sorrow, offering steadfast support and unwavering love.

Yet amidst this sorrow, her legacy endures through her resilient children, Sofia Karinn Taylor and Justin Devon Taylor alongside his wife Yolanda Gisela Flores-Taylor, and Theo Joshua Taylor, Irma’s cherished first grandchild. She finds solace in the enduring love of her mother, Maria del Rosario Garcia-Briones, and the unwavering support of her family: Juan Carlos "Charles" Briones, Enrique Alejandro "Alex" Briones, Roberto Karlo Briones, and Andres "Andrew" Jaime Briones. Amidst the vast tapestry of her extended family, Irma's spirit lives on, embraced by countless aunts, uncles, and cousins, a testament to the enduring bonds she cultivated throughout her life.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 2nd of May 2024 between the hours of three o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 3rd of May 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis Street, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel, Brownsville.
