Isabel Sauceda Almaraz, 70, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, Dec 24, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Mrs. Almaraz was a member of First Baptist Church. She was totally and completely dedicated to her family. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her Francisco and Josefa Sauceda, and by a brother, Esequiel Sauceda.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Jesus Mario Martha Almaraz, Jose Antonio Almaraz, Cynthia A. Shaun Brown, and Linda Isabel Hernandez; 6 grandchildren, her siblings: Felix Sauceda, Juan Sauceda, Paula S. Briones, Guadalupe S. Salazar, Maria S. Ayala, and Josefina S. Garza and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a rosary service were held yesterday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, December 27, 2008 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. All services will conclude at the funeral home and in accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Almaraz will be cremated.
Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville who ministered to Isabel during her illness. Your tender care and compassion did not go unnoticed. May God continue to bless all of you as you minister to others.
