Isabel A. Gonzalez, 78, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Chavelita, as she was affectionately known to all was a native of Mexico. She had been a resident of Brownsville for numerous years. Chavelita, a hardworking woman, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother who gave her all to her family. Chavelita enjoyed watching boxing with her soninlaw but her true passion was working in her garden as Chavelita was blessed to have a green thumb. Chavelita was also a wonderful seamstress, who sewed for her daughters as they were growing up. We are grateful and blessed for having had such a wonderful mother and role model in our lives. A devout Catholic, Chavelita was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Chavelita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and those fortunate to have known her.
Chavelita was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Gonzalez a daughter, Patricia Gonzalez Ibarra and her mother, Guadalupe SotoRamirez.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Alfredo Gonzalez Jr., Lupita Richard G. Adams, Gloria Daniel G. Fussel, Silvia David G. Guerra, and Carmen Hugo G. Sifuentes her soninlaw, Isaac Ibarra fourteen grandchildren and fourteen greatgrandchildren. Chavelita will also be missed by her sisters: Esperanza SotoRamirez, Consuelo Roberto Camarillo, and Antonia Martin Orozco her brother, Francisco Acosta and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family members.
