Janey Garcia Ybarra, 69, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Thursday, April 19, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at St. Pauls Hospital in Dallas, Texas after a valiant battle with cancer.
Janey came to Brownsville when she was three years old. She married Andres Ybarra Jr. on October 3, 1963. She remained her with her parents until Andy returned from military service overseas in 1964. Upon his return they moved to California where their first born Ruben was born. In 1969, they returned to Texas, first to Pasadena and in 1974, moved to The Colony, a subdivision that eventually became a town. She had two more sons, Mark in 1976 and Xavier in 1978. Janey was a devoted wife and mother and when her grandchildren were born she was the epitome of being a Grandma. She was a wonderful person who gave her all to everyone Janey was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Janey was preceded in death by her mother, Luz G. Lucy Garcia her youngest sister, Lydia Pearl Poe GarciaHernandez her paternal grandparents: Manuel Marroquin and Maria de Jesus Garcia her maternal uncle, Guadalupe Gonzalez her maternal aunt, Lydia Bacher and her husband Clarence two cousins and her mother and fatherinlaw, Angelita and Andres Ybarra Sr..
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her loving husband of 48 years, Andres Andy Ybarra Jr. three sons, Ruben Sandra, Mark Anthony Christi, and Xavier Manuel Herbie Ybarra the three grandchildren that were her pride and joy: Cambree Renee Potts, Kaleigh Anne and Nicolas Anthony Ybarra her father, Ruben S. Martha Garcia Sr. her brother, Ruben S. Nellie Garcia Jr., two sisters, Maria Cristina Mike Gonzalez and Loraine Kevin G. Knoch an aunt, Elsie Gonzalez nine nieces and nephews eleven grandnieces and grandnephews one greatgrandnephew five first cousins numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in the Dalton Son Funeral Home, Lewisville, Texas, 972 4366511. A Liturgical Service will be held at Twelve Noon on Wednesday April 25, 2012, at Dalton Son Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. Committal services will follow at the DallasFort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
A memorial rosary and communion service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home.
