Chuy as he was affectionately known to all, was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Chuy worked for the Harlingen Irrigation District for 45 years retiring as a Supervisor/Foreman.
Chuy was devoted to his family. He was always looking after everybody and always willing to lend a helping hand to all. Chuy was the family’s “King of Kings” because he had a golden heart. Chuy loved to tell jokes. In his spare time, Chuy loved to go deer hunting and was also a folk healer.
Chuy was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Correa, Concepcion G. Bell, and Aurora G. Sheppa; and 5 brothers: Apolinar, Rolando, Pedro, Jorge, and Rodolfo Garza.

Chuy will also be missed by his 3 sisters: Olivia G. Saldivar, Lydia and her husband Abel Benavides, and Herminia G. Muguerza along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon and continue through 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15th at Darling Mouser Funeral Home with a rosary service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
