Joe Rey Martinez, 40, entered into eternal rest at Methodist Specialty & Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Joe Rey was a huge New England Patriots fan. He was very family oriented and loved to barbecue and sing karaoke with his father.

Left to eternally treasure their memories of him are his wife, Brandy McKnight-Martinez; his parents Zita and Reyes Martinez, Jr.; his brothers, Jesse Roy Martinez (Claudia) and Reyes Martinez III (Mary); his paternal grandparents, Isabel and Reyes Martinez, Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Dora A. Garcia; nephews, Jesse Roy Martinez, Jr. and Reyes Martinez IV and a niece, Isabella Rae Martinez.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2016 with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
