Jose Angel Garcia

Jose Angel Garcia, 93, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on June 15, 2008 at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.

Mr. Garcia was employed with P.U. B. for many years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francisca V. Garcia and his son, Alberto Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Garcia of Brownsville, his children, Maria Magdalena Ramiro Sosa, Maria Olivia Andres Vega both of Brownsville, Eugenio Lupita Garcia, Jose Angel Bertha Garcia, Jr., both of San Antonio, Angelica Jose Luis Betancourt of Bonita, California, Rafael Debbie Garcia of Harrisburg, Pa., Maria Teresa Juan Rincones of Pflugerville, TX, Yolanda Daniel Gomez of Brownsville, Celeste Rene Zuniga of Austin, and Joanny Jorge Narvaez and Javier Garcia both of Brownsville, two brothers, Roberto and Eliseo Garcia, two sisters, Delia Gomez and Teresa Gonzalez, 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 1p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 3p.m., Wednesday, June 18, at St. Luke Catholic Church with burial to follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Gino Garcia, Jr., Javier Garcia, Jose Angel Garcia, Jr., Andres Angel Vega, Rafael Garcia, and Miguel Angel Sosa. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Garcia, Danny Gomez, Mario Gomez, Bobby Guzman, Thomas Rincones, Eric Zuniga, Orlando Zuniga and Jorge Alberto Narvaez.
