Jose Barron, 97, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on May 25, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mr. Barron retired in April of 1976, after 18 years of service with the City of Brownsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Manuela G. Barron, his wife, Faustina B. Barron, his sons, Jose Barron, Jr. and Wenceslao Barron, his brothers, Casimiro, Alonso and Manuel Barron. He is survived by his son, Roberto Mary Barron of Indio, California, 15 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 beginning at 5p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10a.m., Thursday, May 29, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Joe David, Ruben, Jose Manuel, Robert Michael, Joey Jr., and Matthew Ruben Barron.
