Jose Camargo Sr.

Jose Camargo Sr., 91, of Brownsville, our beloved father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, April 04, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Laredo, Texas, Mr. Camargo had been a resident of Brownsville for over 50 years. He was a parishioner at St. Marys Catholic Church. He was a loyal and dedicated employee at Don
Johnson Motors and retired after 30 years of faithful service.

His strong work ethic served as a role model for his family. He understood the value of an education and instilled that importance in his children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Rita B. Camargo a daughter, Rosa Maria Camargo Vela his parents two sisters: Guadalupe Camargo Velasquez and Angela Amador Campos, and a brother, Cipriano Amador.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of his are his children: Jose Jr. Prescila Camargo, Ricardo Zerelda Camargo, Rosie Camargo Vela, Rodolfo Betty Camargo, Raul Camargo Vela, Fide Camargo Vela, Roberto Nora Camargo, Rita David Lapeyre, and Hector Ana Camargo Vela 17 grandchildren, 16
greatgrandchildren, 6 greatgreatgrandchildren, a brother, Jesus Amador, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Joses sons: Jose Jr., Ricardo, Rodolfo, Raul, Roberto, and Hector are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their father.

Joses grandchildren: Rita Flores, Jose Camargo III, Everado Elsa Camargo, Vanessa Claudia Cantu, Rosa Margarita Camargo, Zerelda Zeelaya Ricardo Alejandro Camargo, Christina Ashley Clinch, Rudy Michael Camargo, Joshua Vela, Valerie Victoria Camargo, Kaitlyn David Lapeyre, and Hector Alexander Vela will be honorary pallbearers.
