Mr. Jose Guadalupe Espinosa, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, March 08, 2008 at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.
Mr. Espinosa, a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville was a parishioner of St. Thomas Mission.
He was preceded in death by his son Jose Guadalupe Espinosa Jr. and by his sister Belia Arredondo.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his loving wife of 58 years Lucia M. Espinosa; his 8 children, Josefina E. Jose M. Huerta, Alfredo Frances Espinosa, Rolando Sylvia Espinosa, Juanita Sylvia Rolando Zamora, Margarita Joe Hernndez, Ernesto Mary Ann Epinosa, Efran Janie Espinosa, and Alejandro Ramona Espinosa; his 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister, Estela Espinosa; his brother, Francisco Josefina Espinosa; his brother-in-law, Marcos Arredondo; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Thomas Mission, 135 E. Jefferson St. followed by interment at Buena Vista Burial Park. Mr. Espinosas grandsons: Joe Hernandez III, Florentino Huerta, Alfredo Espinosa Jr., Ismael Zamora, Michael Espinosa, and Porfirio Hernandez are honored to be serving as their grandfathers pallbearers. The remaining grandchildren will serve as Mr. Espinosas honorary pallbearers.
