Jose "Meme" Manuel Martinez

Jose Manuel Martinez, 49, our beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at his residence in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle against cancer.

Meme, as he was affectionately known to all, was born in Brownsville but he moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he had been living and working since 1994. Meme was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his mother, Maria Dorotea Garcia Ramos his wife, Eudocia Hernandez Martinez his siblings: Sara Manuela, Adriana Natividad, Maria de los Angeles, Juan Alberto, Rosa Imelda, Graciela, Maria Elena, Eduardo, Joseph, Glenda, Kelly, Angelica Maria, and Angelica and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014, in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
