Jose Francisco Moya, Jr., 12, affectionately called Guero and Joey by his parents, entered into eternal rest at Texas Childrens Hospital in Houston on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He was proud to have been fortunate to have met several of the San Antonio Spurs players and Sam Hurd of the Dallas Cowboys.
Left to eternally treasure his memory are his mother, Mary Jane Moya of Brownsville; his father Jose Francisco Moya, Jr. of Edinburg; his maternal grandparents, Ernesto and Rosalva Zarate of Brownsville; his paternal grandparents, Francisco and Elena Moya of Los Fresnos and several aunts, uncles cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009 with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. today, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard in Brownsville. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville.
Pallbearers will be Juan A. Martinez, III, Ernesto Zarate, Jr., Juan A. Martinez, IV, C.J. Flores, Frankie Tapia and Bobby Martinez.
