Today, Josefa Gloria M. Reyes, daughter of the late Benito Martinez and Concepion Franco of Brownsville, passed away in Coppell, Texas. Gloria was blessed to have celebrated 92 yrs. of a glorious life. She was married to the late Gregorio G. Reyes, son of Arcadio Reyes and Margarita Garza of Brownsville, for 55 years. Together, Gloria and Gregorio lived a military lifestyle with Gregorio retiring from the United States Air Force after 27 years and lived in San Antonio, Texas for most of their married lives.

Gloria was a caring sister, devoted wife, and a loving mother. She was also a grandmother and a greatgrandmother with over 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her four sons and one daughter: Rolando M. Reyes of Katy, Texas Mario M. Reyes of Irving, Texas Jaime M. Reyes of Birmingham, Alabama Gregorio M. Reyes, Jr. of Schertz, Texas and Consuelo B. Mendez of Ft. Myers, Florida. Gloria is also survived by her three sisters and one brother: Elvia Coronado of Brownsville, Texas Catalina Canant of Brownsville, Texas Maria Lucio of Phoenix, Arizona and Tomas Martinez of Austin, Texas.

Gloria was a very caring person who always managed to find time to help family, friends, and even strangers. She will be truly missed and loved for how she lived her life. Now, she will be in peace forever. Thank you God.

Visitation will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 201, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
